NIKOLAI IZAPHINE KATZ
This is Nik of the Blingbling, age 11 going on Slim Shady. He likes rap music, dogs, secret spots, Lemony
Snicket, digging very deep holes, and really godawful Adam Sandler movies. He's not quite sure about our new home,
because he's a bit worried his friends are going to think his parents are hippie freaks and won't want to use the composting
outhouse if they come stay the night. On the other hand, there are lots of cool spots for hiding things (like... ummm... Slim
Shady CDs?).

ELLA GRACE KATZ
This is Ella of the Muddy Tongue, age 2, who is fond of Pooh Bear, playing in disgusting water puddles,
chasing roosters ("doodle doos!"), and picking berries. She was born on Friday the 13th. Her first word, at age 10 months,
was "woof woof." She is a very verbal child and doesn't sleep much.
SILAS WAYNE KATZ
This is Silas of the Perpetual Backpack. He is a mama's boy and is nearly one year old. He doesn't like
to be set down, so he ends up spending many long hours in the backpack while mom and dad work outside. We're pretty sure he
is the milkman's son, because we can't quite explain the blue eyes. Equally mysterious is his sweet nature.
